Melawa And Display

The concept being new, wide publicity and campaigning were done. The methodology adopted consists of the following. The Managing Director, Col Suhas Jatkar (Retd) visited the different regions of the state and Conducted Melawa. The concept was explained to the Ex-servicemen and their dependents, all doubts and apprehensions were clarified at these Melawa.

Handouts giving highlights of the scheme were distributed during Melawa and banners displayed at places frequented by ESM and their families (i.e. ECHS, DSW offices, Ex-Servicemen Rallies) to give wide publicity of the project.

Make in India for Defence

MESCO along with CII, Pune conducted a Seminar “Make in India for Defence “on 25 April 2015 at hotel Sun-and-Sand, Pune. Raksha Mantri Manohar Parrikar was the chief guest for the event and TITANS of the Industry Mr. V S Noronha of M/s TATA motors, Mr. Baba Kalyani of M/s Bharat Forge and Mr. J D Patil of M/s L & T were the eminent speakers at the Seminar amongst others Make in India for Defence

Publicity was given in the form of advertisement in local edition of news papers in all regions of the state at regular intervals. The highlights of the scheme and format of application were advertised asking interested ESM and their dependents for submission of application along with the project report. The news papers covered the project in their editorials at length.

Seminar

  • A Two day seminar was conducted at Sainik Kalyan Garden Lawns, Ghorpadi on 21st & 22nd Jan 2016 to explain the finer points of the scheme, the time schedule, Incentives available from Central and State Govts, Assistance from Banks and Financial Institutions like SIDBI for Entrepreneurship Development. The concept was explained by MD in detail, clarified the apprehensions and doubts of the participating ESM, the financial implications and the compliances applicable for the startup. The speakers at the seminar had all praise for the bold attempt of MESCO and assured all possible cooperation to make the effort a grand success.

    The seminar concluded with a visit to Mahasainik Industrial Estate by all the participants.

    MESCO launched a Website (www. mescomsie.in) to disseminate all information about MSIE to those who were unable to attend the seminar with provision to upload applications online.
